As summer officially kicks off in a few weeks, so do many summer tours. The 2025 summer concerts are featuring some of the biggest artists and we are having a hard time choosing which ones to go to. Some artists have begun touring, including Beyonce, who recently kicked off the Cowboy Carter Tour and will continue throughout the summer. But she’s not the only one kicking off a tour; several big-name artists are about to hit the road, and several of them will be coming to a city near you.

To the shock of many, the new Pope is not only the first Pope from the United States, but the Pope has Haitian and Creole ancestry as well. Those facts are just some of what we learned as we try to meet Pope Leo XIV. Robert Francis Prevost, 69, now known as Pope Leo (Leone) XIV, was born in Chicago and is a graduate of Villanova University. The Pope’s father, Louis Prevost, served in the Navy during World War II and worked as a superintendent of schools in the south suburbs of Chicago.

Ryan Coogler’s vampire thriller Sinners has surpassed the $200 million mark, which makes it one of the highest-grossing films so far of 2025. The movie, which stars Michael B. Jordan, surprised many with its success. In fact, the entertainment magazine Variety almost pronounced it a flop because it only made $61 million globally in its first weekend.
