A demo for the blacksmithing action RPG Blades of Fire is coming out tomorrow, 15th May, ahead of the game’s full release on 22nd May for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Epic. Announcing that a demo was coming earlier this week, developer MercurySteam said, “Thank you SO much for the love in response to this! We weren’t planning to release a demo, but we know many of you wanted one, so we had to make it happen.”A day later, they confirmed that the demo will arrive on 15th May.

With the Splitgate 2 open beta right around the corner on 22nd May, 1047 Games has revealed another key component of the portal-based arena shooter. The Lab is a fully-fledged map creator that will allow for some impressive community-created maps. Taking a leaf out of the Halo franchise’s Forge map creator, The Lab aims to be both accessible for more casual map creation, and incredibly deep in terms of the terrains and map layouts it can create in the hands of an expert.

The first content update for Wreckfest 2 is here, with Bugbear bringing the first additions to their crash-happy racer as it goes through Steam Early Access. There’s new cars, new tracks, and a bunch of new features and fixes. In terms of tracks, there’s the new European rallycross track and folk racing track, Finncross. the European sports sedan, the Bravion, and American large segan, the Rammer, are both added as vehicles as well.

STALKER: Legends of the Zone is getting a new Enhanced Edition, taking the 2024 console port and further enhancing it to take advantage of PS5, Xbox Series X|S and modern PC hardware. STALKER: Legends of the Zone – Enhanced Edition is launching next week on 20th May.

Warner Bros. has released a Hogwarts Legacy Nintendo Switch 2 gameplay comparison trailer, as well as confirming that an upgrade path from Switch to Switch 2 will be available. Hogwarts Legacy for Nintendo Switch 2 will bring some huge improvements over the original Switch release. Newly ported to the platform, instead of reusing the heavily modified Switch version as its base, Hogwarts Legacy will have graphics much closer to the PlayStation and Xbox versions of the game.
