In college, I once told a teacher I was taking a day off for a religious holiday (Passover). He said I needed to show “proof” it was a religious holiday or he’d mark me absent. Nobody ever asks Christian kids for proof do they? I told him I’d bring him back some matzoh balls.

Can’t wait to see the country do its usual dance of “thoughts and prayers,” “now isn’t the right time to discuss guns,” “blame video games,” and finally “it was a false flag operation.”
