Some loved ones are outraged after visiting St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Cemetery and unexpectedly coming across multiple tombstones toppled over. “This absolutely breaks my heart,” said Wendy Morano in a video posted to social media. “Who comes to a cemetery and defaces plots?” She was visiting the grave of her twin sister when she came across the disturbing sight. “Come on people. Do better,” she went on to say.

Ontario’s highest court has dismissed an appeal by the man convicted of the second-degree murder of an elderly woman in 2017. In a written decision released Friday, three judges from the Court of Appeal for Ontario say they agree with Justice Bruce Thomas’ conviction and sentence of life in prison for Habibullah Daniel Ahmadi, now 28. The court found Ahmadi attacked Sara Anne Widholm, 75, while she was out for a walk on the Ganatchio Trail on Oct. 8, 2017.

A Tilbury couple is refusing to pay a $330 parking ticket, arguing the incident was an honest mistake, but the City of Windsor said the decision is final. Joe Peters and his wife rushed from Tilbury to Windsor regional hospital, where they parked in a designated accessible parking spot. “Got a phone call, my son got into a car accident, and he was in ICU,” said Peters. “We come out 6 o clock and boom, $450 ticket on the dash.
