Ladd Lanes announces its summer hours. The bowling alley, 212 S. Main St. in Ladd, will be open 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 5 to 11 p.m. Friday, and 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday. Lois’ Kitchen farmstand is open for the season. The farm stand at 3698 E. 2653rd Road, Sheridan (four houses off Route 71 in Norway), will be open 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. She’ll have pies, breads, cookies, jams, jellies and pickles, among other items. Pie orders need to be made by Wednesday each week by calling 815-826-1077. Sam’s Pizza is hosting a block party Sunday to celebrate 50 years. The pizza place, 240 Washington St. in Marseilles, opened in 1975, said owner Joe Evola. His father, Salvatore, opened the Ottawa location in 1954. The event is noon to 3 p.m. The street will be blocked off with tables set up. Customers can also bring lawn chairs and there will be pizza specials. The band Moementum will perform.

Gold Rice Authentic Tai Food has found a new location, but it’s not yet open. The food truck’s new location is 1220 Vernon St., Princeton. A small structure is under construction. The truck will soon reopen with a limited menu featuring ready-to-eat items and appetizers. “I’ll keep you updated and let you know the exact reopening date — hopefully by next week!” read a post on the business’ Facebook page.
