Ryerson Holding Corp. shrank its net loss in the first quarter vs. last year. The Chicago-based service center reported a first-quarter loss of $5.3 million, an improvement compared to a loss of $7.4 million in Q1’24. Meanwhile, the company generated net sales of $1.14 billion and shipped 500,000 tons, up from 497,000 tons a year ago. Revenue rose to nearly $1.14 billion, up from nearly $1.24 billion last year.
