When Ronda Bellefontaine found herself tackling house chores instead of barn tasks as a teenager on her family’s dairy farm in Middle Musquodoboit, Nova Scotiq, she knew that becoming a farmer herself wasn’t her calling. What she didn’t realize was this was actually an early indicator of the role she would go on to play in agriculture over the course of her career: providing much-needed business management support to farmers. “There are some very good farm business managers out there,” she said.

Connection, passion and purpose were celebrated with the presentation of 92 rings to the Class of 2025 during the 15th annual Barley Party held Friday, April 4. The Barley Ring has been a tradition since 2010— a symbol that continues to identify and unify AC alumni with close to 1800 rings across the globe. “This year's Barley Party was an extra special one,” said Brian Crouse (Class of ’75), chair of the Alumni Association board of directors and emcee for the event.
