    CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of runners will weave their way through Garfield Park for the Bank of America 13.1 half marathon. 10,000 people are expected to participate in the fourth annual run on Sunday. The 13.1-mile race will start and finish in Garfield Park and travel through Humboldt and Douglass parks. The main race kicks off at 7 a.m. and starts on Jackson Boulevard between Hamlin and Central Park Avenue. Mayor Brandon Johnson is expected to make an appearance.

Record-breaking travel is expected this weekend and this is also the first holiday travel period with the new Real ID requirement. TSA expects to screen about 18 million passengers between Thursday and next Wednesday over the Memorial Day travel period. Nationwide, AAA predicts 45.1 million Americans will go somewhere, topping the record - set back in 2005.

    CHICAGO (WLS) -- A special graduation was held at Lurie Children's Hospital on Wednesday. Earlier this year, Taevion Norris was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, also known as DMD. His mother said his teachers were first to tell her that Norris was struggling in gym class. After seeing a specialist at Lurie's he was officially diagnosed.

    CHICAGO (WLS) -- A controversial ordinance is expected to be up for a full vote Wednesday at Chicago's City Council meeting Wednesday. If approved, it would allow some city authorities to call for a so-called "snap curfew" on the spot. The so-called snap curfew has been a source of debate for the City Council for weeks now. The newly-revised proposed curfew allows the Chicago police superintendent along with the deputy mayor to call for a curfew on the spot if they believe it's needed.
