    The Canandaigua Fire Department released its 2024 year-end report, revealing a total of 2,460 calls for service—underscoring the department’s essential role in emergency response across the city and surrounding areas. Of those calls, 1,153 were for EMS-only incidents, 69 involved fires, and 117 were related to motor vehicle accidents. The department also responded to 531 calls within the Town of Canandaigua Fire District and provided mutual aid to neighboring agencies 58 times.
