After 12 tough weeks, Lord Sugar named Dean Franklin his newest business partner in Thursday’s final of “The Apprentice”, defeating Anisa Khan, who sells Indian food-flavoured pizzas, in the final boardroom. Franklin, who runs an air conditioning company, came to the show with a successful business but wanted to use Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment to expand and gain valuable mentorship from the businessman. “I can’t believe I’ve just won The Apprentice,” Dean said.

SAN ANTONIO — The Florida Gators won the NCAA men’s basketball National Championship on Monday, defeating the No. 1 Houston Cougars in a nail biter. Florida trailed by as many as 12 points in the second half but used a 15-3 run to come all the way back to tie the game. “Our guys knew that it wasn’t going to be easy. Didn’t panic when it got tough,” Gators coach Todd Golden said. “They did a great job of never getting too high, never getting too low.

Stock markets continued to fall on Thursday as the fallout from U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff announcement was felt around the world. The Dow Jones Industrial Average plummeted 1,679 points. The S&P 500 tumbled 4.8%, marking its worst trading day since 2020. Meanwhile, businesses also continued to struggle. Nike plummeted 14%, while Apple fell 9%. Speaking on Wednesday, Trump said the tariffs would help American businesses.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump announced Wednesday a set of sweeping tariffs on foreign-made cars and auto parts that will go into place next week as part of Trump’s so-called “Liberation Day”. As of this writing, many details are unclear about the tariffs, which foreign governments criticized. WASHINGTON — The White House said Monday a Signal group chat discussing plans of U.S. attack on Houthis in Yemen that inadvertently included editor-in-chief of The Atlantic, Jeffrey Goldberg, “appears to be authentic.”The massive breach of national security comes following an article by Goldberg Monday, where he said he was privy to highly sensitive war plans on the chat.
