A manager at Bunratty Castle has failed in a challenge to his sacking after multiple female staff accused him of sexual harassment, with a tribunal finding he had not worked at the resort long enough to make such a claim. The Workplace Relations Commission found it had no jurisdiction to rule on a complaint under the Unfair Dismissals Act 1977 by the manager, Trevor Beacom, against Shannon Heritage DAC, the operator of Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.

Staff at fintech firm Digisure believe the company’s officers got locked out of its bank accounts after an alleged management dispute resulted in its chief financial officer being “forced out of the company”, the worker told the Workplace Relations Commission last month.
