Friday brought another positive sign for Jase Richardson's path to the NBA, as the standout guard from Michigan State was one of 75 players invited to the 2025 NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. The combine runs from May 11-18 in the Windy City. The NBA also will hold its G League Elite Camp, where select high performers will be asked to stay for the full combine, from May 9-11. All players invited to the NBA Combine are required to attend and participate, per the CBA.

Haller ousted after 3-plus years as ADVIPI don't know that a perfect candidate exists to become a power-conference athletic director these days. I'm not even sure what that ideal profile, that skill set, looks like in 2025. The job is different than it was five years ago. The way the wind is blowing, you can bet it'll be different five years from now. Michigan State president Kevin Guskiewicz, roughly 14 months into the job, apparently wants something different in that role.

Passed on by FBS programs coming out of Michigan powerhouse Brother Rice, Newman ventured east to Holy Cross, where he was a three-year starter at left tackle and two-time FCS All-American.

After Michigan State's season ended with a loss to Auburn in the Elite 8, head coach Tom Izzo said he didn't think freshman standout Jase Richardson could make a bad decision. Izzo was ready to encourage Richardson to at least test the NBA Draft waters, where he could fulfill a lifelong dream of becoming a pro, or he could return to East Lansing and chase a national championship while entering the season with All-American hype and enjoy a season as a college star.
