The heartwarming ‘me4u@Christmas’ initiative mirrored the Catholic Charities school fundraising campaign, me4u, which raises funds for some of the most disadvantaged groups in the community.

Dear EditorI would suggest that socioeconomic factors are better able to predict life expectancy than quality of health care. A disadvantaged person subject to various forms of abuse and disadvantage who in turn makes poor decisions in life is likely to have a short life expectancy, even when provided with first rate health care. Conversely a person both into opportunity who makes good decisions in life is likely to have a long life expectancy, even with mediocre health care.
