    Dear EditorI would suggest that socioeconomic factors are better able to predict life expectancy than quality of health care. A disadvantaged person subject to various forms of abuse and disadvantage who in turn makes poor decisions in life is likely to have a short life expectancy, even when provided with first rate health care. Conversely a person both into opportunity who makes good decisions in life is likely to have a long life expectancy, even with mediocre health care.
