The 2010 AAAS/Royal Society report1 has played a fundamental role in promoting the concept of science diplomacy in Europe. Its definition of science diplomacy is not without flaws, but it continues to resonate and is still considered the most important reference point for conversations about science diplomacy. However, the world has changed fundamentally since 2010.
