A trio of East Carolina walk-ons opted to leave the program on Wednesday during the opening day of the spring transfer portal period. Wide receiver McCallum Wright, cornerback Keyshawn Jackson and punter Ethan Stumpf all either announced their intentions to enter, or appeared in the portal on Wednesday. In addition, as previously reported on Tuesday, ECU quarterback Jake Garcia officially entered the portal on Wednesday as well.

East Carolina defensive coordinator Josh Aldridge addressed the media after Tuesday's practice, giving an update on his unit's progress as the Pirates begin their fourth week of spring practice. ON HOW HE WOULD ASSESS FRIDAY'S SCRIMMAGE, AND TUESDAY'S SESSION"Scrimmage was phenomenal. I thought the guys did great. I think we were 70 percent win on third down. We're really good in the overtime period. Did a great job of affecting the quarterback, sacks, takeaways, all that stuff.

The Pirates played well in all phases on Tuesday. East Carolina's baseball team hasn't had an ideal 2025 season to this point, but anytime the Pirates can take a season series from an in-state rival, that can be considered a success. The Pirates secured that feat over UNC Wilmington on Tuesday, taking down the Seahawks 7-3 inside Clark-LeClair Stadium behind a solid all-around effort in all facets. With the win, ECU won its second straight after a six-game skid, improving to 22-16 on the season.

East Carolina's football team opened its fourth week of spring practice on Tuesday, holding its 10th workout of the season inside the Cliff Moore Practice Facility. After the team's scrimmage on Friday, the Pirates had the weekend off, and returned in full pads on Tuesday. There was plenty of energy and physicality during the day's session. Below are some full VIP observations from the 30-minute window availability towards the end of practice for the media.
