By Stephen KountourouAs we like to say on Hellas Football, Greek football is the gift that keeps on giving. It is capable of the biggest shocks, passionate fan bases and some of the greatest stories ever told in the history of the beautiful game. But there are always two sides to every coin.

By Stephen KountourouAs Ethniki fans, we appreciate those who choose to represent Greece over another nation. It may come from tribalism, national pride, and a close connection with Greek culture. If a football player decides to play for Greece, they also represent us. It's why supporters were thrilled at the news that Odysseus Vlachodimos, who was born in Germany, was convinced to be the starting goalkeeper for the last decade.

By Stephen KountourouAccording to Wikipedia, a “Golden Generation” is “an exceptionally gifted group of players of similar age, whose achievements reach or are expected to reach a level of success beyond that which their team had previously achieved.” There are many examples of this in international football.

Either would be OK for Tsimikas. Corberan is a good manager but Valencia as a club is still a basketcase. Lille I'd prefer but for some reason Greeks don't do well in France. As long as he's starting I guess it ultimately doesn't matter hugely. #Tsimikas

Valencia CF and LOSC Lille are reportedly the latest clubs to have an interest in signing Kostas Tsimikas! 🇪🇸🇫🇷❔️ Either team would be set to cough up a fee in the region of 15-million pounds to sign the Ethniki-Left-Back. 💷 Would either move be good? Or bad for Tsimikas? 🤔 https://t.co/SdpxSNM3hx
