Launched on February 14, 2005, YouTube was a place where people could post cringe little videos of themselves and share every single little aspect of their life without the need of going face-to-face with someone. The creative freedom that YouTube gave it's users made the platform an instant hit for youngsters.

Why do we assume, as a matter of colonial entitlement, that people from non-Anglophone countries will understand us, but it is not even a matter of decency to make the same effort to understand them?
