    The number of cases reported in Texas' historic measles outbreak has risen to 683 cases in 29 counties, as of May 2. Of those, 89 patients have been hospitalized, and two school-aged children have died since the outbreak began in January. Twenty new cases were added on Friday, since the last update on Tuesday. On Friday, three counties reported their first cases: Upshur in northeast Texas, Eastland, east of Abilene and Hardeman on the Oklahoma border.
