Dale Zanine-Imagn Images A common saying you’ll hear around baseball is young players need to play. Bench roles are usually better spent on veteran players who are used to staying ready without consistent playing time and developing players need to be in the lineup everyday to, well, develop. Photo by Matthew Grimes Jr./Atlanta Braves/Getty Images The final tally of the poll we ran earlier this week is almost a dead heat. 51% think the Braves get to 89 wins or better. 49% believe the Atlanta Braves finish at 88 wins or worse. That generally means the line was set at exactly the right number but I was expecting a bit more negativity considering the team was 2-8 when the poll went out.
