According to HULL LIVE, Hibs have tabled an offer for Hull City midfielder Xavier Simons. The transfer window opened today, June 1st, for 10 days to allow clubs to sign players for the Fifa Club World Cup, and will then close again on June 10th. The Scottish Premiership window then opens on June 16th. Hibs are apparently not hanging about and have made their move for the 22-year-old, with the EFL Championship side considering their options, with other clubs monitoring the situation.

Hibs have today released their retained list and have revealed that they are in talks with both Rocky Bushiri and Junior Hoilett about extending their stays in Edinburgh. Both players were excellent last season as the Hibees finished 3rd in the Scottish Premiership and secured European Football. Hoilett joined the Hibees on a free transfer from Aberdeen last summer and the 34-year-old Canadian international was superb playing 34 times and scoring 4 times and adding 5 assists.

Hibernian have today revealed that youngsters Malik Zaid and Murray Aiken have left the club at the expiry of their contracts. Both players were part of the Hibees U19 side who impressed in the Uefa Youth Champions League a couple of years back, playing against the likes of Molde and Borussia Dortmund. They were also part of the Hibs U18 side that won the U18 League title the season before.

Hibs have today announced the release of young midfielder Rueben McAllister. The 18-year-old has left Easter Road after three years in the capital, after signing from English side Bristol City in 2022. McAllister, then just having turned 16, signed for the Hibees from the Robins for a reported £350,000, with the fee possibly rising past £500,000 should certain add-ons be met. However, despite some impressive performnaces for the youth side, he never made a first team appearance.
