TUSCULUM, Tenn. — Former Mid Valley Softball star Danielle Jason is now a Division II 1st team All-American Outfielder for Tusculum University. We featured Danielle right here on Newswatch 16 Sports during the season when she played down in Tennessee. She joins East Stroudsburg pitcher Sarah Davenport on the team. Danielle hit .452 on the season with 48 stolen bases and scored 62 runs while collecting 85 hits.

MOOSIC, Pa. — Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Mavericks Withdraw from AF1 Arena Football is the home of all the excitement and unexpected action fans could want. This sometimes includes off the field as well as on the field. The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Mavericks have decided that they will not participate in the 2025 AF1 season. As a result, their membership in AF1 has been terminated.

PHILADELPHIA — The kid from Whitehall high-school in Allentown is now heading to his 1st Super Bowl appearance. Saquon Barkley put the Eagles team on his back early in Sunday's 55-23 decisive win over the Commanders with his 60 yard TD run around the left side of that line and made a few twists and turns and turned a terrific run into the Eagles 1st TD of the game and a 7-0 lead. Washington was turnover prone all day with 4 in the game to the Eagles none.

MONROE COUNTY, Pa. — Tommy Reisinger's path to pro baseball began at Mount Carmel with a mix of sports between basketball, baseball and being the quarterback on the football team. It was a ton of fun for Tommy and kept him busy playing multiple sports. Once he settled on playing baseball, the college experience began at East Stroudsburg. He had a 4-year career there and, most recently, was the Oakland A's 10th-round draft pick last June in the Major League Baseball draft.
