One prospect who heard from the Wolverines early Sunday morning was Houston (TX) Cy-Falls Top100 edge Kaden McCarty. The four-star currently ranks 62nd overall in the 2027 class, good for 11th at the edge position.

.... VIPMichigan extended a scholarship offer to 2027 four-star defensive lineman Joseph Buchanan on Wednesday, he reported via his Twitter account. The Wolverines join Oregon, Penn State and Georgia among those who have offered early on. The Wolverine staff is not unfamiliar with the Owings Mills (MD) McDonogh School as they're working to add 2026 four-star linebacker Nick Abrams to the fold for their class.

Mineral (VA) Louisa County 2026 five-star running back Savion Hiter will officially visit Michigan this weekend, meaning Sherrone Moore and staff are possibly hosting the top overall target on their recruiting board. The Wolverines have been battling Ohio State, Tennessee and Georgia for Hiter for months at this point as those four schools emerged as the major contenders over the winter. Georgia and Ohio State have received official visits while Tennessee will receive one next weekend (June 20th).

.... VIPAs first reported by 247Sports' National Analyst Allen Trieu on Tuesday, Michigan will host 2028 defensive tackle Caleb Tucker for a camp workout on Wednesday. Michigan was the second offer of the recruiting process for Tucker, who weighs in at 6'5"/355 and has the potential to be one of the most coveted interior defenders in the country for his class. Others who have already offered include Ohio State, Notre Dame, Auburn and USC among others.
