SCROLL DOWN TO READ ARTICLE Having covered a few spring trainings over a few years, not all days in the Florida sun are created equal, nor are all the games. SCROLL DOWN TO READ ARTICLE Now that he has had 208 big league plate appearances, batting .189/.255/.311/.565 at age 20 with the Orioles last year, it can be easy to forget that everybody ranked Jackson Holliday as MLB’s No. 1 prospect heading into last season. SCROLL DOWN TO READ ARTICLE For a pitcher who was not even drafted, but signed as a free agent after the 2023 MLB Draft, O’s right-hander Trey Gibson has been getting noticed a lot lately. The 22-year-old is ranked as the club’s No. 12 prospect (and their fourth highest-rated pitcher) by Baseball America and No. 13 by The Athletic. In addition, ESPN named him as one of 12 players currently outside of its top 150 national prospects who could break into the top 100 list.

Grand slam Cedric Mullins 5-4 Solo hr Heston Kjersted 6-4

Brandon Hyde started off his postgame conference by saying “we’re all just floating on a big rock in space. Everyone is gonna die eventually, not like any of this stuff really matters in the long run.” Really odd comments from the manger of the 2nd worst team in the AL.

Mounty gets the day started with an rbi double then Gunnar Henderson hits a 2 run hr to deep right. Way better AB’s than last time the O’s faced Ober.
