ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has directed the contractor executing a road project in Kwali Area Council to employ at least 100 locals. Wike gave the directive on Tuesday, while inaugurating the construction of a 15-kilometre road from Abuja to Lokoja Expressway (A2) to Pai, in Kwali Area Council of the FCT. The project was awarded to Zeberced Group and expected to be completed in six months.

ABUJA (Sundiata Post) – Nigeria has won the bid to host the next edition of the prestigious All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT) in 2026. Reports that the AACT is a biennial continental ladies golf championship in Africa that had its inaugural edition in May 1992 in Zimbabwe. Nigeria hosted the AACT in 1996 at the Ikoyi Club 1938, while in 2010, the AACT was played at the IBB International Golf and Country Club, Abuja. This would be the third time Nigeria will be hosting the championship.

The Nigerian Army has arrested Bello Bodejo, the leader of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore. He was arrested following a conflict involving herders and a retired general in Nasarawa State, The Cable reports. The arrest took place at his office in Maliya, with soldiers from the 117 Battalion detaining him in connection to the incident. The clash reportedly began when the retired general fired at a herd of cattle in Tudun Wada, Karu Local Government Area, causing losses for the herders.
