Two rescue divers, Ocean Ridge police and Palm Beach County sherriff's deputies on the beach Sunday at Gulfstream Park, where a teenager appears to have drowned. Gulf Stream police and Boynton Beach fire rescue personal were also involved in the rescue and search. The teenager, mom and sibling were in the surf before lifeguards arrived for the day. A proposed home at 2600 N. Ocean Blvd. east of State Road A1A won a variance from the Boca Raton City Council on Oct. 8. The plans still need approval from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection before construction can begin. A larger scale proposal was rejected by the council in 2019, leading to a pair of contentious lawsuits that ended recently.
