The World Series of Poker released its 30-event online bracelet schedule for the 2025 festival yesterday, bringing the total number of bracelets up for grabs this summer to 130. In February, the WSOP released its 100-event live schedule. Once again, the Paris and Horseshoe Las Vegas convention center will host the series scheduled for May 27-July 16. The series is guaranteed to have an online event on every Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday during that time frame.

The company released the ad yesterday from its BetRivers sportsbook X/Twitter account, and presumably aired in television markets where the BetRivers online casino is available.

For the second consecutive year, the World Series of Poker Circuit Tournament of Champions is heading to California. The WSOP announced Wednesday that the tournament would be held at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles from May 15-17. The freeroll event runs in the middle of the WSOP Circuit stop at the Commerce. It’s sandwiched between an $1,100 no-limit hold’em and the start of the $1,700 no-limit hold’em main event.

The Empire State is the latest jurisdiction to move forward with a sweepstakes casino ban. The New York State Senate Racing, Gaming and Wagering committee passed legislation prohibiting those platforms from doing business in the state. Sen. Joseph Addabbo, one of the state’s most pro-gambling lawmakers, introduced S5935 at the start of the session.

Last August, Caesars Entertainment announced it was selling the WSOP to NSUS Group for $500 million. NSUS owns and operates the online poker site GGPoker. If what one of GGPoker’s ambassadors said is true, then those found guilty of cheating while playing on GGPoker will not be allowed to participate in WSOP events.
