Boy, was I wrong. And I’m so glad that I was. The Shiunji Family Children episode 10 actually justified last week’s overly cliche metaphor, which felt so forced at the time that it was technically a simile. If you may recall, Ouka went up to Mt. Normally when I review a specific anime episode, there’s, at least, one major theme that I base the entire write-up on and then explore the lesser examples, though, there are usually only one or two. Yes, while watching My Hero Academia: Vigilantes episode 9, I came up with my own head canon to counteract what I thought was much better than what was happening in the show, but I can say with great humility that, while what Vigilantes went with was the more cliche option, I thought it turned out incredibly well — and much better than mine. I was originally hoping that Pop Step would actually become the hero and save Koichi from the rampaging kitty bus.
