ABSTRACTHolocaust heritage across Europe is held to high standards of conservation, management, interpretation, and use, due to the belief that all such sites should be retained as or turned into places of memorialization as their primary function. This paper proposes that a pragmatic approach instead be taken towards Holocaust heritage in the twenty-first century and beyond.

ResultsProvincial and territorial SAR legislation is summarized in relation to each criterion in Fig. 1 and described for each province and territory below. British Columbia lacks a dedicated SAR act. Instead, legislation is distributed over multiple acts, including the Wildlife Act (1996), Forest and Range Practices Act (2002), Energy Resource Activities Act (2008) and Ecological Reserve Act (1996).

1 INTRODUCTION Freshwater environments are some of the most biodiverse on the planet, harbouring one-third of all vertebrate species, and almost half of all fish species, despite covering only approximately 1% of the Earth's surface (Tickner et al., 2020; Su et al., 2021). However, this diversity is in rapid decline, and freshwater species are increasingly under threat of extinction.

People came from near and far to line the streets of the J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center for its annual Christmas Parade. The event featured a variety of entries, including floats, marching bands, mascots and more. The event officially kicks off the holiday light display at the center where people can drive through the center at night to see the many Christmas light displays.
