As has been the case for a little while now in the NBA, while there are certainly contenders to be found in the Eastern Conference, when it comes to the sheer depth of overall quality, the West is still the best. There's a decent case to be made for just about every team in the Western Conference to at least make the post-season, with about 5-10 clubs in the conference that likely fashion themselves as legitimate championship contenders.

In a fabulous, stalwart performance, the Toronto Raptors notched a big win over the red hot Phoenix Suns Wednesday night. The 112-105 victory is just the latest in a season that has featured quite a few signature wins for the Raptors to begin the season. A Nov. 1 dismantling of the then finding-their-way Milwaukee Bucks, then a two-game sweep in Texas that saw Toronto make a big comeback against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs followed up by a commanding win over the Dallas Mavericks.
