If you’re here on BMBWLOG, there’s a good chance that you’re a little bit more interested in the brand than the typical motorist. You might not be a car enthusiast in the sense that you’re getting your hands dirty daily and swapping motors in your backyard. But, you probably care about what you drive — and what you drive might happen to be a BMW. Why you’re in a BMW might be a long story. But for me, it’s easy to remember why I love the brand. I just recall my first drive in a BMW.

Only one other wagon in play, unfortunately — the RS6 Avant — but don’t despair. All four tout mighty V8 engines under the hood, ensuring a level playing field, excellent soundtrack, and absolutely dismal fuel economy.

While we’ve already seen revelry straight from the brand in several ways this year, the latest is perhaps the most accessible and, arguably, best way to celebrate. BMW is bringing an array of M3 and M4 models to one of the greatest destinations for any auto enthusiast on Earth: the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles, California. From 1970s Group 5 cars to the latest GT4 cars, there’s something for every enthusiast.

Built to compete in the blossoming luxury SUV segment, arguably pioneered by Mercedes and BMW themselves, the X3 wasn’t an immediate hit.
