A 31-year-old Bremerton man was in Kitsap County Superior Court May 27 facing two charges. Bail was $75,000. He faces 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for burglary and five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for possession of stolen property. Court papers say Bremerton police responded to a report of a felon being spotted in the 4900 block of Driftwood Street. An officer knocked on the door and rang the doorbell for 20 minutes.

Man says he took gun only to teach a lesson A 33-year-old Port Orchard man was in Kitsap County Superior Court May 13 after taking a relative’s gun for what he said was safekeeping and to teach them a lesson. Bail was $50,000. He faces 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for possession of a stolen firearm. Court records say Bremerton police arrested the man May 12 at 5:46 p.m. in the 1100 block of 12th Street. The victim’s husband’s cousin was suspected of taking the gun from her purse.

Naked photos of wife on internet A 31-year-old Port Orchard man was in Kitsap County Superior Court April 21 facing four charges involving nude photos of his wife. He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for dealing depictions of a minor; the same penalty for possessing depictions of another minor; five years in prison and a $10,000 fine for voyeurism; and a year in jail and a $5,000 fine for tampering with evidence.

Bail was set at $580,000 for a 22-year-old Bremerton man charged with five crimes in Kitsap County Superior Court Jan. 24. He’s charged with second-degree assault strangulation, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm (each 10 years in prison, $20,000 in fines maximum); and harassment threat to kill (5 years, $10,000 fine). Court documents show that Kitsap deputies responded Jan. 23 at 10:31 p.m. to the 2800 block of Fircrest Drive SE.

A 25-year-old Bremerton man faces life in prison and a $50,000 fine after being arrested for a stabbing at a local restaurant. He was in Kitsap County Superior Court Dec. 19 arrested on a warrant from Nov. 15 for first-degree assault. Bail was $100,000. Court documents show Kitsap deputies responded Sept. 8 at 3:36 a.m. as there was a stabbing victim in the emergency room at St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale.
