Dear Editor, Credit to Dr. Flynn et al. for a well-constructed study and well-written report. However, one first has to wonder why such rigor is necessary in 2025 to demonstrate what would be obvious to most: GIVEN inexperienced or out of practice people are to do something that is complex and risky, IF they have pre-performance practice and preparation THEN their performance will benefit. Is anyone arguing the null hypothesis that practice and preparation will have no effect?
