BALTIMORE - Happy Wednesday! The heat and the haze will be the top story today and tomorrow. The wildfire smoke will still remain noticeable through Thursday with highs in the upper-80s. Moderate air quality is expected as the air could be bothersome to those who have respiratory issues. Skies will remain dry through the end of the week with rain and storm chances increasing on Friday evening into Saturday as a cold front moves through.

Milky sunshine is expected today, thanks to ongoing wildfires burning in Canada. The smoke shifts eastward across the Mid-Atlantic, making it more noticeable through the middle of the week. An area of high pressure nearby could bring some of the smoke suspended in the upper-levels of the atmosphere down to the surface, allowing it to smell a bit smoky. Air quality will be impacted across central Maryland because of this synoptic set up.

BALTIMORE - Happy Tuesday! Canadian wildfire smoke will make skies hazy for the next few days. The combination of smoke and warmer temperatures in the 80s will increase ozone levels, impacting air quality across the area. Temperatures will rise into the upper-80s and low-90s later this week, so make sure you stay hydrated and find ways to keep yourself cool. Skies will remain dry through the end of the week with rain and storm chances increasing as we head into the start of the weekend.
