FORT WORTH — The 2024-25 athletic season is officially in the books and it was another solid year across the board for TCU athletics. The fanbase’s claim of TCU being an “everything” school was bolstered as the Horned Frogs had strong seasons in multiple sports. The football team won nine games, while women’s basketball shocked the country and reached the Elite Eight.

The Big 12 released the conference opponents for TCU's women basketball on Tuesday. Led by Notre Dame transfer Olivia Miles, the defending regular season and conference tournament champions will face rival Baylor twice while hosting Big 12 contenders like Iowa State, Kansas State and Oklahoma State. With stars like Hailey Van Lith, Madison Conner and Sedona Prince all gone, the Horned Frogs will look to defend their conference titles with a reshaped roster led by Miles and Donovyn Hunter.

TCU's schedule features two matchups against rival Baylor, a road game at Kansas, a home game vs. national runner-up Houston and a trip to face potential No. 1 overall pick A.J. Dybantsa and BYU.

After countless delays and a lengthy legal battle, the House v. NCAA Settlement was finally approved June 6, marking a shift to a new era of college athletics. The $2.8 billion, 10-year settlement will pay past players for missed name, image and likeness opportunities and allow colleges to pay players directly starting July 1. The initial 'salary cap' will be around around $20.5 million. That number is expected to rise in the next few years.

I sat down with TCU AD Mike Buddie in the hours before the House Settlement was approved. Why he believes it could level the playing field and he also shared why the Big 12 was against a CFP format that would've granted two auto bids for the league: https://t.co/RWOkM2517x

TCU will play Baylor, K-State and Oklahoma State twice. A bit surprised no Texas Tech twice for the Horned Frogs.
