Lurking with considerable intent on Dublin 8’s brand spanking new Le Pole Square, the Old Town Wine Bar does the Mediterranean-y tapas and small plate thing brilliantly. With lots of polished wood, mahogany leather, marble-topped tables and a wall of gleaming bottles – the 70-plus vintages on offer include an exceedingly cheeky Zeno Tempranillo – the first wow factor is the room, which has plenty of seats at the bar if you just want to grab a drink.

ADOLESCENCE (Netflix)Not content with starring in pugilistic Peaky Blinders spinoff A Thousand Blows – the boxing drama is a total knockout – Stephen Graham plays a father whose world is turned upside down when his 13-year-old son is arrested for the murder of a girl who goes to his school. As good as Graham, Game Of Thrones’ Faye Marsay and The Responder’s Christine Tremarco are, it’s newcomer Owen Cooper who steals the acting honours as the young killer (or is he?) in question.

The shock news this morning is that legendary Blondie drummer Clem Burke has passed away aged seventy, following a 'private battle with cancer.'A rock n' roller through and through, he cut his teeth during the late 1960s/early 1970s with one of New Jersey's premier covers bands, Bayonne, before moving to New York in '75 and joining the first Blondie line-up.
