Norway's pipeline gas exports to landed markets in Northwest Europe edged up in November compared with October, but were slightly down year on year, an analysis of S&P Global Commodity Insights data showed Dec. 4. Deliveries amounted to 9.8 Bcm in November, up 2% from 9.56 Bcm in October but down 1% on the year, the data showed.

German gas consumption was higher year on year in the week ended Nov. 24 for the fourth consecutive week despite slightly weaker demand from the power and industrial sectors, data from the country's energy regulator showed Nov. 29. EUROPEAN GAS: How long, realistically, might it take to repair the Nord Stream pipeline strings? And if repairs are done, would Germany be on board for gas to flow again? And could Berlin be persuaded to restart the certification process for Nord Stream 2? So many questions...

EUROPEAN GAS: A lot of noise around Nord Stream 2 again. But as the German economy ministry told me again today: It is not certified and not legally approved. Nord Stream 2 NEVER flowed gas to Germany, and to do so in its undamaged string would need Germany to allow it. #ONGT

EUROPEAN GAS: The Tyra hub offshore Denmark is finally at "full operation" with a capacity of 2.8 Bcm/year. It was taken offline in late 2019 for redevelopment and was meant to restart in summer 2022. After a restart in March 2024, technical issues delayed full operations to now.
