Though science diplomacy is often a part of statecraft, it is no longer solely dependent on institutional and state actors.1On the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of New Frontiers in Science Diplomacy, it is important to assert that science diplomacy still matters, particularly within a highly charged geopolitical context that threatens to undermine global knowledge and research partnerships.
