Australia's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate has edged higher to 4.1 per cent in March as 3000 people left the workforce. An amber alert has been issued for a three-year-old boy believed to have been taken from a Gold Coast suburb overnight. Queensland Police are seeking urgent assistance from the public to find the three-year-old, who detectives say was taken from a home in Vine Circuit at Oxenford around 11.30pm. Police say the boy is with a woman known to him, and may be at "significant risk".
