Hello all! I’m planning to hang out in Bangkok for 2 weeks at the end of April, and my 18 year old daughter and her boyfriend are coming with me. It’s an opportunity for them to do some parent-free travelling in Thailand whilst still having us not-too-far-away. (My daughter had a stroke a couple years ago so is not yet as well and independent as most 18 year olds are, hence my caution). She loves markets, temple cats and dogs and isn’t into nature much.

Cold case detectives have appealed for information on the murder of a Scots teenager who was shot dead 10 years ago. Kevin Wilson died aged 17 after he was shot in the back in Liverpool in February 2015 in what Merseyside Police believe was a 'targeted attack'. He was originally from Viewpark, Lanarkshire, but had moved south of the Border shortly before he was killed. Since his death, 13 people have been arrested and questioned on suspicion of his murder but nobody has been charged.

on Hi, me again. Thank you for the other answers, we now decided to leave the big loop and head back to Bangkok by train from Nong Khai, and so, I guess you know my question from the title, if we could stop somewhere between, maybe for two nights, where would you suggest? It seems most of the stops are quite big cities, but we think the ruins at Phanomwan sound good, but would two days be enough?

This summer I am going to spend a couple of months in south east Asia with the family and I have about two months to get from Bangkok to Singapore. I've travelled quite a bit in Thailand, but south of Bangkok I've not see much else then Ko Tao for some diving. I do have to add that the last time was 2013 though. The goal is food, nature, shacks along palmtree lined beaches on islands and showing the kids life in a very different part of the world (city and village).
