Jamnagar: An Army chopper made a precautionary landing in Jamnagar district of Gujarat, it then later returned safely to the army base on Monday. According to the IAF official, “An Indian Air Force Chetak helicopter made a precautionary landing near Changa village. The chopper has already flown back to its base in Jamnagar.” Last year in March, a Chetak helicopter of the Indian Army made a ‘precautionary’ landing in a farm field near Didwana village in Rajasthan on Friday.

Bhubaneswar: Severe heatwave in Odisha was experienced on Monday. Jharsuguda recorded 44.8°C which was the highest temperature recorded this season. As of 2:30 pm today, Jharsuguda was the hottest and recorded 44.8°C, while Sambalpur recorded 42.6°C, Hirakud was 41.8° and Rourkela was 41.2°C. The other places that recorded temperatures below 40°C were Keonjhar 37.8°C, Chandbali 37.6°C, Balasore 36.2°C and the capital city of Bhubaneswar was 35.2°C.

Chennai: In a heroic act, a man rescued a nine-year-old boy from death. He dragged the boy from being electrocuted in a water-logged street in Chennai. The entire incident was captured on CCTV and has been widely shared. According to reports, in the video it can be clearly seen that the little boy walking by falls down on a waterlogged road near an underground cable and gets electrocuted. A man passing by sees the incident and leaves his bike and runs to rescue the boy.

Jammu and Kashmir: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has announced the plans to deploy special CoBRA battalion for counter-terrorist operations in Jammu and Kashmir. According to reports, for the first time ever the CoBRA battalion will be deployed in Jammu and Kashmir for an anti-terrorist operation. The team was developed 17 years back and specially trained to undertake operations in Naxal-affected states.
