The number of people fleeing Australia’s capital cities to escape to the country over the past 10 years is enough to fill two new cities the size of Canberra and the Sunshine Coast combined, new research has revealed. A major study by property market analysts and buyers’ agency Propertyology found that in 89 of the 137 municipalities in the nation’s eight capital cities, their populations have fallen due to internal migration.
