One of the world’s great urban parks, Mexico City’s Bosque de Chapultepec is at once the main green lung oxygenating the metropolis’s infinite sprawl; a respite for countless families that, looking to unwind, flock to its playgrounds, lawns, and cultural sites every weekend; and in need of rehabilitation. Its fraying edges are not surprising given that the forest’s history can be traced back over 3,000 years.

For nearly 15 years, the 48-year-old Mexican artist had rented a boxy midcentury dwelling in Mexico City's quiet Anzures neighborhood that'd proved the perfect background to his Modernist-leaning geometric installations. After its owner declined to sell the property, Cerrillo spent years looking for something similar.

In its over four centuries of existence, the Couvent de la Visitation in Nice, France saw many residents come and go. First the sisters of Sainte-Claire for whom the convent was erected starting in 1604. After being declared a historic landmark in 1989, part of the large structure briefly functioned as a shelter but was finally vacated in 2009.
