DiscussionThis study demonstrated that worsening breathlessness was associated with decreasing levels of self-reported physical activity, sexual activity and function. Overall, it showed that people with persisting breathlessness modify their lifestyle to avoid their breathlessness by reducing or ceasing a range of activities, seeking to minimise their exposure to the symptom.
