The alcohol moderation movement is “no longer considered a niche”, with over half of UK adults wanting to see alcohol-free drinks more widely promoted as alternatives to alcohol, new findings reveal. Mindful drinking organisation Club Soda’s latest Drinks For Everyone 2025 Report found almost half of adults now regularly enjoy alcohol-free beers, wines and spirits, marking a “fundamental shift in a nation once defined by its drinking culture”, it said.

Rockstar Energy has launched a convenience exclusive flavour. Limited edition Rockstar Energy Blood Orange Zero Sugar has debuted in the brand’s new 330ml “slim can” with a £1 PMP. The NPD was designed to broaden appeal and bring new shoppers into the category, by targeting non-traditional energy drinkers with a “more accessible option”, said the Carlsberg Britvic-owned brand. Initially launching exclusively into c-stores, blood orange taps into a “popular summer flavour”.

Spar has revealed a new look for its own label energy drink range, Blue Bear. The refreshed look is designed to cement it’s status as a “must-stock, standout player in the own label energy drinks market”, said the convenience retailer. Spar’s own label team said the refresh reflects changing shopper habits and a category that shows ”no sign of slowing down”. It has also added two new flavours to the Blue Bear line-up.
