By Ovie Okpare The Governor Council of Southern Delta University, Ozoro, has approved the appointment of Professor Akpovughaye Taiga as the pioneer Provost of Orerokpe Campus of the institution in Okpe, Delta State. Taiga, a professor of Botany, until his appointment was the Dean of the Faculty of Science of the university. Prof Taiga’s appointment followed the recommendation of the institution’s Senate during its emergency meeting held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
