The Idaho Department of Commerce chose Orofino as one of three cities selected to compete to be awarded a Main Street America Transformation Strategy Workshop. Last week, we were notified that Orofino was selected. This initiative, at no cost to the city, is designed to support community-led economic growth and create sustainable, revitalized downtowns through focused strategy and resource alignment.

Clearwater County Economic Development (CCED) is hosting a free "giving night" at The Rex Theater on Johnson Avenue in Orofino on May 1, at 6 p.m.. CCED will show a screening of the movie "Uncharitable" and a meet and greet with local charities in conjunction with Idaho Gives, the statewide charitable fundraising donation drive. The movie, "Uncharitable", asks the question, "What if charity could be transformed from a gesture to an answer- to solving the world's greatest problems?
