As both a homeowner and a decades-long homes and garden writer, I am still addicted to re-doing and re-re-doing and re-re-re-doing my home, inside and out. Lately, the bug has bitten hard. Most people that day were focused on the fact that the temperature hovered near 80 degrees and the sun shone nearly all day. No more gray, dreary and chilly days. Spring was here … finally. The sky was vibrant blue and puffy white clouds were bisected by a handful of straight contrails of planes that in my imagination were carrying passengers to Paris, Cancun or even the first leg of a trip to Japan.
