Stuntman and martial artist Kim Kahana, Sr. has died at the age of 94. You may remember him as Chongo from the live-action "Danger Island" serial on the Banana Splits Adventure Hour. He began his theatrical career as a motorcycle riding extra in The Wild One (1953). Upon learning stuntmen were paid better than extras, he began training with Yakima Canutt (1895-1986) for his new career. He eventually opened a training school of his own to later train a generation of over 25,000 stunt artists.

I thought I had written multiple blogs and Medium posts under the title Not Dead Yet. But when I looked, I couldn't find them. Maybe it's just someything I say on Facebook sfter a doctor's appointment. As a double stroke survivor trying to avoid a third stroke, I have a Lot of doctor's appointments. Tomorrow I am going to my nephrologist for a blood draw. It's a good thing the computer knows how to spell nephrologist, as I misspelled it the first time.

I was saddened to learn of Jeanie Epper's passing. Jeanie was the first stunt person to double me which was on the Rockford Files. I really enjoyed working with her. She was very talented and accomplished, kind and helpful.
