A North Adams man was found guilty of raping a 3-year-old child in Berkshire County Superior Court on Wednesday, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office. A jury convicted 29-year-old Austin Miller-Robinson of aggravated rape of a child by force and rape and abuse of a child aggravated by age difference, the district attorney’s office said in a press release. Miller-Robinson assaulted the child on July 4, 2019, the district attorney’s office said.

A man is facing charges after he barricaded himself inside a Springfield apartment following a domestic incident Wednesday night, leading to a six-hour standoff with police, according to police. Springfield resident Victor Velasquez, 62, has been charged with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, arson, witness intimidation and armed breaking and entering at nighttime to commit a felony, Springfield police said in a press release.
