Manchester United bowed out of the FA Cup following a loss to Fulham on penalties in a match that lacked any real magic on the pitch. A cagey first 10 minutes set the tone for the game with a lot of loose touches from both sides. United showed some encouraging signs between the 10th and 14th-minute mark by forcing Bernd Leno into two saves and creating one half-chance for Rasmus Hojlund, but neither team threatened the goal with any real conviction in the first half.
